MO Project 2 is an online media contest open to California Youth ages 13-18.
You must have permission of your parent or legal guardian to enter if you are 13-17.

In the first MO Project, youth made media showing us the everyday challenges they face and what they wanted MO' of to improve the health of their community. Winning videos included improving school lunch, creating safer sidewalks and starting a positive graffiti wall. Now, we want to highlight YOU and what YOU are doing to "own your health" as a leader in the community.

You can:

• Make a Video or Spoken Word Piece
  Short Story, Documentary, News, Animation, PSA (3 minutes or less)
• Make a Poster
  (Print size 24x36 inches, 5mb or less)

Your video, spoken word piece or poster must address one of the following topics:

1. Tell us how YOU are making a difference!
   What are YOU currently doing to own the health of your community, school, after school, streets or neighborhood?
   (Examples: working in a community garden/farmer's market, cleaning up your park, presenting at a city council meeting, leading a health survey, starting a walking club, youth group, etc).
or;
2. If YOU were in charge or the boss,
   what would you change in your community, park, school, after school, streets or neighborhood to improve health?
   (Examples: more physical activity in school or after school, more bike lanes, more programs for youth, eliminate junk food advertising, serve healthier food in community stores, etc).

Other accepted topics include:

• Your vision of a healthier community with healthy eating and/or physical activity
• A letter to Washington (tell a policymaker what healthy changes are needed)
• What you are doing to address: 1) safer places to play and exercise or 2) healthy food in my school, after school or neighborhood

All work must be original. Be creative. Be adventurous. Be inspiring. Show your community, your culture, your attitude and what makes your voice special.
