The MO Project is a media competition open to YOU:
California Youth ages 13-18.
You must have permission of your parent or legal guardian to enter if you are 13-17.

WINNERS GET A WII or ITouch

You can make a Video:

• PSA (30 seconds or 60 seconds - exact length)
• Short Story or Animation (3 minutes or less)
• Short Documentary and News (3 minutes or less)
• Original Spoken Word or Music (3 minutes or less)

• Poster (print size 24x36 inches, 5mb or less)

MO Project is a contest about a movement. Californians are making neighborhoods healthier and we want to hear from you. Join in! Think about what's working, what's not working, and how to make it better. Your short films and posters will be shown to state and local representatives to help shape future funding and laws. Make a short film or a poster and enter today! Make media. Make a difference.

Really important - Your entry should focus on community changes - what WE can do. Not ME changes like "Eat Better" or "Exercise More".

Your project must include one of these themes - and you can show what is or is not in your neighborhood, school, or environment.

• My Vision for a Healthier Community

• A Letter to Washington
• Healthy Food at my school and/or after school program
• How Healthy Eating and/or Active Living affects the Environment

Yes, you can mix up the themes. Be creative. Be adventurous. Be inspiring.

All work must be original. This is your chance to show the world YOUR art - YOUR video - YOUR music - YOUR poem - YOUR perspective - YOUR MO!

Represent. Show your community, your culture, your attitude, what makes your voice special.

Use emotion - anger, laughter, fear, sadness, hope. Most of all - Have fun!
